Alex Cotard announced Junior Program Director

The Racquet Club of Lake Bluff is very proud of our junior program. Quality instruction and developing tennis players is our mission. Our goal is to continuously work to improve our junior program.

To achieve our goal, we are excited to announce that Alex Cotard will be our new Junior Program Director. The club management decided to create this position to enhance our junior program to improve our instruction, our organization and our communication. Alex will also be the Head Tennis Professional at RCLB and the Director of the Level 1 Program.

A male tennis player trains for an adult tennis league indoors, hitting a tennis ball with precise focus. Behind him, a cart full of tennis balls is ready for use, supporting the player's efforts to sharpen his game.

Alex attended the University of S. Toulon in France and was one of the top junior national players in the country. He is a certified Tennis Professional Instructor by the French Federation. Alex has developed top-ten national junior players in France and America and has been a coach for several ITF and WTA ranked players. Since coming to RCLB in 2008, Alex has been involved with all aspects of junior development, including group clinics and private lessons.

The overall structure of the Junior Program will remain the same.

The program will continue to have 7 “Levels.”

The Directors of the Levels are as follows:

  • Coach Audrey Koopsen: Levels 5, 6 and 7
  • Coach Quentin Doux: Level 4
  • Coach Nico Cotard: Level 3
  • Coach Teddy Bouquemont: Level 2
  • Coach Alex Cotard: Level 1

We will strive to continuously improve and advance each player’s development. We are confident in the direction of our junior program and look forward to bringing the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff to the next level!
